Amaro Amara was born from the encounter between a great Etna amaro from Sicilian blood oranges, with the barrels in which the legendary rum Caroni rested for decades. The 12-month aging in wood gives vanilla notes and greater roundness, for a unique balance on the palate. There are only 6 190-liter American oak barrels scrupulously kept in a lava stone cellar at the foot of Mount Etna. The project was born in 2020 with a minimum bottling, of only 386 bottles destined for the personal reserve and for a small number of lucky ones. The 2021 release instead counted 1638 bottles and marketing begins.
