Valtellina Sol was born on the side of the Alpi Retiche, in that valgella sub-area rich in history, brought to light by Matteo and Luca Sega who thanks to their intuition and their work managed not to lose the traces of an active viticulture in the post-war period and abandoned shortly afterwards due to territorial adversity, physically proven.  Sol is composed of Nebbiolo grapes chiavennasca variety of Valgella in the biotypes Rossola, Rossolino Rosa, Brugnola, Negrera preserved over time. The vineyard grows on soils composed of granite, clay and shale.  The desteped grapes are left to infuse with the skins for about three months, then the svinatra is followed by a 500-liter tonneau stop usually for 12 months.
